Arcade Spins Casino (UK) greets you with a neon-fronted interface that is vibrant and colourful. Along with a fancy-looking interface and design, you can expect to be greeted with a generous welcome offer and promotions aplenty.

Since launching in 2017, they have been pleasing nostalgic players with a range of perks and benefits. There is no double that the site reminisces of 1980’s arcades illuminated by neon lights.

There are over 600 games available to all players, including top-of-the-range online slots from a range of providers.

Owned and operated by 888 Holdings, you can rest assured that you’ll be treated like royalty here. Besides a barrage of daily free spins, there is a lucrative VIP programme, generous promotions and a friendly customer support team available at your beck and call.

Like all 888 casinos, Arcade Spins is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission and the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner.

Arcade Spins is a classic retro slots site, and one that boasts a typically classic and simple design.

I like the fact that the site is also game-centric, which means that titles are categorised intuitively and easy to access in real-time. Arcade Spins is bright and engaging too, which is great news if you’re a casual player who prioritises fun over cash returns.

However, there are significant areas in which the brand can improve, particularly from the perspective of the underwhelming welcome offer and a relatively short FAQ page.

The lack of a live casino is also disappointing, although the diverse range of slots on offer will compensate for this in the minds of many.

As you’d probably expect from a retro slots site, Arcade Spins offers a decidedly simple welcome bonus that could well be a throwback to a bygone age.

More specifically, new customers can claim 25 free spins on the popular slot game Fluffy Favourites, before playing these in the pursuit of points that can be redeemed for bonus funds.

Once you’ve registered for an account, you simply need to click through the ‘Deposit’ tab at the top of the homepage and confirm your preferred payment method.

At this stage, you’ll also need to set the value of your deposit, as while this will automatically be set at £50, you can adjust this to as little as £10 and still qualify for the welcome offer.

It’s also important to note that you’ll need to opt-in to receive the welcome offer, and you do this by entering the promo code ‘ARCADE’ in the relevant box in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

Then, simply re-enter your Visa debit card’s security code (if you use this payment method) and confirm the details of your very first deposit! You’ll then receive a notification confirming receipt of funds, at which stage you can start playing and using your free spins.

You can access these by clicking through the ‘Rewards’ icon in the top right-hand corner over the homepage, before redeeming your free spins and entering the Fluffy Favourites slot.

Each spin is worth 25 points (£0.25), and over the course of my free gameplay, I earned a total of 164 points (£1.64). This came from a number of modest base game wins that are typical of any mid-high variance slot, while it’s a relatively competitive haul given that total winnings are capped by the bonus at a value of £2.50.

However, it’s a small prize in relation to the value of even the minimum deposit, while wagering requirements of 40x your free spins winnings are also disproportionately prohibitive.

In my case, I had to play through £65.60 just to withdraw winnings of £1.64 and any additional bonus funds, and this hardly offers good value for your hard-earned bankroll!

Arcade Spins has a deceptively large games library, although this is comprised exclusively of slots, daily jackpots and scratchcards.

This will be something of a disappointment for experienced online players, as the lack of table games or a live casino creates a one-dimensional gameplay experience that can become a little mundane over time.

However, the site’s games library is well laid out and accessible just beneath the fold, while a horizontal menu running across the top of the lobby helps to refine your search when looking for titles. This includes filters such as daily jackpots, hot games, new titles, scratchcards and slots, while you can also scroll down to see the most popular games in each vertical.

In the top right-hand corner of the lobby, you’ll also see a ‘search games’ icon, which allows you to look for specific titles directly and get started even quicker!

Most games on the site open up fairly quickly, with an average load time of between 10 and 15 seconds for titles such as Fluffy Favourites and Starburst.

On average, daily jackpot games like Dragon’s Luck and Arcade Bomb take a little longer to load, while the same rule applies to scratchcards such as Casino Scratch and Hot Safari Scratch.

Ultimately, you can access in excess of 500 games on Arcade Spins, including a large number of new games from the leading software providers and classic slots such as Rainbow Riches.

However, there are also some noticeable absences (including Book of Dead), while the complete lack of table and live casino games definitely undermines the overall gameplay experience at Arcade Spins.

All the games on offer are fully optimised to work seamlessly on smaller screens. As long as you have a steady internet connection, you’ll be able to access your favourite slot games.

Despite being established as part of the 888 Group back in 2016, Arcade Spins has yet to design and develop any native apps on iOS and Android.

However, the mobile site works seamlessly on the Safari browser app for iOS, thanks largely to the fact that it has borrowed heavily from the design of the desktop version.

This means that you can still access the site’s verticals and your account information at the top of the page, while the games are also categorised and displayed in a way that makes them easy to search and access at any given time. You also won’t have to compromise on the number of games available when playing on the move, with the site’s library powered by advanced HTML5 technology.

The loading times are little quicker on the mobile site, with most games opening fully in under 10 seconds. Most games can also be played in either portrait or landscape mode, although you should note that you can only navigate the lobby and the remainder of the site when in portrait mode.

As a responsible gaming company, Arcade Spins doesn’t allow anyone under the age of 18 to play on the site. The site has not been designed to attract children or adolescents.

They also understand that while most people play for entertainment, a small group of players can become obsessed with potential monetary gains the games offer.

The casino has created the below responsible gambling tools to help you stay in control:

  • Deposit Limits
  • Game Time Reminder
  • Autoplay Limits
  • Account Restrictions
  • Take a Break
  • Self-Exclusion

If you require professional information, support or advice, Arcade Spins strongly recommends getting in touch with GamCare on 0808 8020 133.

The Arcade Spins customer support team is available seven days a week. If you don’t find answers to your questions under the FAQ page, you can contact them via one of the below methods:

  • Phone: 0808 018 3307
  • Email: By filling out a contact form

While Arcade Spins offers a few channels through which you can find information and resolve queries as a player, the site’s overall customer support isn’t as reliable as it could be.

Let’s start with the live chat feature, which can be accessed through the floating ‘Help Chat’ icon on the right-hand side of each landing page.

Interestingly, using this feature has more in common with sending an email via an online contact form, as you’ll initially have to enter your registered email address and details of your query when logged in before being placed in a queue.

I initially raised a query about estimated withdrawal and internal payment processing times and entered into an existing queue in fourth place. I had to wait just short of 10 minutes before being connected with an agent, although once this happened my query was resolved courteously and within a matter of moments.

There’s often a queue when contacting agents through live chats, while the estimated waiting time advertised is often underestimated. However, this feature is at least available seven days a week, between the hours of 10:00 and 02:00.

The same operating hours apply to the site’s toll-free telephone number (0800 018 3307), and this provides another way of contacting agents in real-time. The wait time here is a little longer on average, but it’s ideal for traditional players who want to talk through an issue in person without incurring a charge.

While the site also features an FAQ page, this is relatively short and lacking in detail. So, although it publishes basic answers to a number of generic queries pertaining to withdrawals, payment methods and wagering requirements, it’s not suitable for settling more complex or comprehensive questions.

Arcade Spins would definitely benefit from expanding its FAQs over time, while the live chat feature could also do with some incremental improvements in terms of accessibility.

Arcade Spins is required by law to verify your identity before you make your first deposit or play your first game.

Whenever they are unable to verify information automatically, you'll be asked to supply the following:

  • Proof of ID (passport, driving license, ID card)
  • Proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, official government letter)
  • Proof of Payment Method

When you first register for an account, you’ll have to enter your personal information across four different screens.

This includes your name and telephone number, and while the process can seem slightly long-winded, it’s made considerably quicker by an intuitive address finding tool based on your postcode.

You’ll also be asked to provide your occupation, and so long as you enter your information accurately and in full the site should be able to verify your identity automatically. This was definitely the case when I registered and I was immediately able to credit my account, wager and complete withdrawals without restrictions.

In instances where your data is entered inaccurately or you’re not on the electoral roll at your current address, the site reserves the right to ask you to provide documentation as proof of your ID.

The good news is that in this instance, the customer service team will prompt you to provide this before you make your first deposit, asking you to provide your photographic proof of ID, proof of address and copies of your preferred payment method.

You can upload these documents by clicking through the ‘My Account’ tab in the top left-hand corner of the screen. From here, you can select the ‘My Documents’ icon and begin to upload your electronic copies straight away, by either dragging and dropping files or browsing your PC before hitting send.

This option remains on your account at all times, so you can also upload these documents voluntarily if this provides you with greater peace of mind.

Arcade Spins has made it easy for you to fund your account. You can opt for one of the many available payment methods:

  • Debit Cards
  • Prepaid Vouchers
  • EWallets

UK players have a relatively restricted range of payment options on offer when crediting their Arcade Spins account or making withdrawals, with popular e-wallets such as Neteller largely unavailable in this region.

However, the available options include secure methods such as Visa Debit and PayPal, while you can also use a prepaid Paysafecard to help keep your bankroll separate from your additional funds.

Not only this, but you can also credit your account by debit or Maestro card either online or by telephone, simply by contacting the toll-free number we listed earlier.

My preferred deposit method is Visa debit, and I processed my initial £10 deposit online. This was completed immediately, with the funds landing in my account without any delay at all.

Due to anti-money laundering laws (which require you to withdraw funds through a method that has been previously used to credit your account), I also transferred my first £10 in cash winnings using Visa debit. This was requested on a Thursday, and the funds eventually landed in my account a little over 96 hours later.

This allowed for an estimated processing time of 48 hours (excluding the weekend), and while this may seem slightly slow, I experienced no additional delays or issues.

However, although you can see your withdrawals (and other transactions) listed on your account page, the site doesn’t offer clear updates or let you know when the payment has been formally processed.
