Vegas Hero has a solid design and layout which gives the whole site a pro look and feel without being boring.
The site is well laid out and easy to use without too much thought needed. I found the menus self-explanatory, and the ‘My Home’ page had everything I needed to control my casino account settings. The only real negative was the way my balances disappeared from the top of the screen anytime I played a game. My main balance did show elsewhere on the screen, but it would be nice to glance at my cash, bonus and reserve balances easily.
I found the signup process at Vegas Hero pretty straightforward and well designed. It was a simple 2-step form with the usual personal data required, such as home address and email. After filling in my details and hitting ‘Sign Up,’ a legal notice pop-up appeared with details about player funds and UKGC regulations.
The next pop-up welcomed me to the casino and had a big red ‘Deposit Now’ button which I clicked to inject some funds into my account. After this was yet another pop-up asking if I wanted to opt-in to their marketing. 3 pop-ups in a row feel like a bit much when I just wanted to get on and play some games as a new player. That said, the entire process of creating a new account was smooth, and I’ve no complaints here.
Vegas Hero welcomes the new players with a hefty bonus bonus package. You can get up to £100 and 50 free spins on your first deposit.
All you need to do is:
- Register an account
- Make a minimum of £10 deposit
- Spin like the universe is in your hands!
When you deposit, 10 free spins are credited to your account. You'll get the remainder 10 spins per day for the next 4 days. Free spins can be played on Dazzle Me, Neon Staxx, Guns 'N Roses or Stickers.
During signup, I had the option to select my bonus from a dropdown of 2 options, one for Live Casino and the other for slot games. I selected the slots option which should give me 10 free spins and a £40 bonus cash balance. The confusing thing here was the space to enter a bonus code which made me think I needed one. I searched around the site but couldn’t find it, and it turns out it only applies to my follow up deposits.
I clicked to confirm my deposit and the bonus balance of £40 showed up instantly below my real cash balance. Under the ‘Manage My Account’ section, I saw the ‘Bonus & Balance’ option. This displayed my wagering requirement of £1,600 and my progress with it. Both the bonus cash and free spins are subject to forty times (40x B) wagering requirements which is a touch on the high side for me. When playing my first slot game, there was a pop-up which says about the max bet allowed with bonus funds. This neat reminder says ‘If you place a bet higher than the allowed limit, it may result in forfeiting any winnings’. I could tick a box not to be reminded again.
It was irritating that I couldn’t find out where my 10 free spins had gone. In the welcome offer details, it just says ‘selected games’ so I was going to have to ask someone via chat to locate them. It would just be better if they were shown in my bonus section so it’s easy to see which games I can use them on.

Once my deposit and bonus were taken care of, I jumped into the ‘Hottest Games’ section to see what I could play. I stuck with the classic Book of Dead first and hit some nice £10 and £8 wins from my £0.60 spins. I came away with nearly double my £40 deposit thanks to landing 10 free spins. Next, I tried some £0.30 spins on Boom Pirates, but there was nothing to report. Loading up Aztec Gold Megaways my balance was ticking over nicely with some £0.60 spins. A quick session on Lightning Joker with just 20 £0.50 spins gave me a big win of £22.50.
Moving onto the ‘Live Casino’ section, it was a bit irritating to see there were no subcategories on offer here. This meant scrolling down a lengthy list of game titles and having to click on ‘Load More’ all the time. I plumbed for Grand Casino Roulette and pretty much broke even with some £1 bets on Red. It was pretty much the same story on Blackjack Blitz and Super Sic Bo which didn’t inflict any major damage to my real money balance.
I could easily add games to the ‘Your Favourite Games’ reel for quick access by clicking the star icon on any thumbnail. Overall, my desktop casino experience was smooth, and all the games loaded and played without any issues on a domestic wifi connection.

There’s no dedicated Vegas Hero mobile app, so I logged in using my Chrome browser on my Android phone. The site seemed to lag a little bit compared to the desktop version and wasn’t a totally smooth experience to navigate around. That said, the layout was well thought out, and I could easily find everything I wanted to. I really liked the dropdown ‘Games’ menu, which included a handy search bar.
To see how the games loaded and played, I chose Piggy Riches Megaways because it’s got a lot going on graphics wise. There were no glitches to report, and I just about broke even across my 30 plus spins here. Next, I hit up Gonzo’s Quest, which again has no issues but neither did it bring me the riches of the new world. I had my last few £0.20 spins on Dynamite Riches until my funds ran right down and it was time to call it a day.

Clicking on the question mark in the top right of my desktop screen gave me a range of help options. I was pleased to see a comprehensive and well-arranged FAQs section and the ability to call or email the support team. The overall feel I got from the site was that they were keen to help me out and give any info I was looking for.
Firing up the live chat box, the agent answered in just a few seconds, and they were polite and swift with my questions about viewing my gaming history. They offered to email over my gaming history as viewing it via the site does not show the individual game names. Top marks here.

Before you take off with the Hero, we need to take a peek behind your mask for legal reasons. Complete the KYC (Know Your Customer) check by submitting the following documents:
- Proof of ID (government issue picture ID, passport, driver's licence
- Proof of address (an official letter with your name and address, e.g. utility bill
- Proof of banking method (exact specs depend on the payment method)
During the sign-up process, I got a pop-up message which stated ‘Due to our regulatory obligations, we reserve the right to ask for documents to confirm your identity and the source of funds you gamble with. We will request those documents as soon as they are needed, but it can be at any time that you are a customer’.
My withdrawal confirmation email also stated a very similar thing. I was pleased that this is written in plain English here, and I knew exactly where I stood.
Looking under the ‘My Account’ section, I could see an ‘Account Verification’ page. Here, it also had a notice saying that should the casino require any additional docs they’ll be in touch. Again, this was nice and clear, which gets plus points from me. As it turned out, I didn’t need to provide anything, and my withdrawal was approved without further holdups.
There are many ways that you can charge up your account with funds. All payment methods are safe and fast! You can transfer money for example via VISA, Mastercard, Paysafecard, Skrill, Neteller, PayPal, Boku and Trustly.
Most deposit methods are instantaneous, but some take slightly longer depending on the provider. Generally debit cards, e-wallets, instant banking and prepaid cards are instant.
Making my deposit was a straightforward affair, and I got a prompt to do so straight after signing up. I selected the payment type and entered the amount manually as my desired £40 deposit wasn’t shown as a preset option. The second screen was for the payment details. I initially tried my Revolut Mastercard Debit card, but this failed. I switched to my Visa Debit card and clicked on continue. I then got a confirmation page which informed me there were no additional fees to pay. I liked this extra step as it was good to check over the deposit to ensure everything was correct.
The ‘Verified by Visa’ box came up to say that everything was okay. When I clicked continue, I could only see the word ‘error’ in the pop-up window and nothing else. I closed that window and hit refresh. My £40 deposit and bonus showed up right away, but this was a poor start to my casino experience. It’s just lucky I didn’t attempt another deposit right away!
Making a withdrawal had an extra step, when clicking on withdrawal I got a pop-up telling me I could ‘Reserve It’. This is basically keeping funds separate to your main balance but not withdrawing it. I’m not convinced that this encourages responsible play and the window is designed so that reserving is the main option here. It feels like players are being discouraged from taking their funds, and that’s a negative for me. Plus, reserve funds still show at the top of the screen below my balance and bonus totals.
Dismissing that, I could enter my withdrawal amount and hit confirm. There was confirmation of the £0.80 fee (the minimum they charge), and this was deducted from my total withdrawal amount. I got an email to confirm my request and another one 48 hours later to say that it had been processed. The funds hit my account around a day later.
