Slot tested
Trillionaire is the gaudy slot that puts opulence at full display, showing the player what it might look like if the big leagues are ever reached. Besides a pantheon of beautiful ladies that act as Stacked Wilds, the game also features a bonus wheel as well as a free spins mode.
The game came out in 2021 as it was released by Red Tiger, making it one of their newest releases and arguably showing off the best at what they can offer both in gameplay and design. When it comes to the design of the slot, I think it’s definitely passable but isn’t the most striking when we compare it to other visual slots. The graphics are mostly actual pictures of women and rather generic-looking card suits.
Players will be looking at a 5-reel, 4-row playing field on which the game takes place, filled with a moderate 20 bet lines. The game doesn’t feature a lot of animations with the pictures being static and the wins being shown by simply lighting the tiles involved up. The bonus wheel does look good but its animation basically only consists of the wheel spinning.
The music in Trillionaire is rather toned down, especially considering the topic. I would expect more extravagant songs playing in the background but instead, we are treated with a short loop electronic beat. Getting a stacked Wild will play the sound of a camera shutter but that’s about it when it comes to special sound design.
Symbols
Trillionaire keeps things simple in the symbols department but this does keep things clear and simple. Players will instantly be able to see how close they are to a win, and whenever 2 free spins symbols appear on the screen the game slows down to give the last symbol extra time to appear.
The symbols in the game include:
The payouts for wins are not especially high except for the biggest wins, which I found to be rather difficult to get. What does help is that all high-paying symbols are wilds and they are stacked, counting as both a regular symbol and a wild if they fit to fill the entire reel.
Players can pick a bet between £0.10 and £100 per spin to help them balance their risk. I found the game to be a drain on my funds but I did win some big wins at a time. The slot’s High Volatility makes itself felt all the time while playing. If a player does manage to get a big win, they can walk away with the max. win of 1,000x their bet.
Features
Trillionaire stays close to the basic gameplay that most slots use, and that’s no different with regards to the features. The game makes use of some standard implementations that help keep the gameplay interesting but they don’t reinvent the wheel.
The features include:
All the high-paying symbols also act as Stacked Wilds when they fill the entire reel, but act as regular symbols when they don’t. I did find them to only rarely appear multiple times on the same screen, so getting a win from the normal high-paying symbols without wilds is unlikely.
Another element that is worth mentioning is that getting the entire screen filled with wilds will not grant you the maximum payout per payline, but 200x your bet only once. I think this is pretty disingenuous since the paytable simply lists them the same as all the other symbols.
The bonus wheel isn’t very interesting, but it can offer some bigger wins. The wheel is made up out of 3 different wheels. Starting at the outer one, the wheel can either land on an arrow or a coin win. If it lands on a coin win it is directly awarded and the wheel disappears. If the wheel lands on an arrow, it will start to spin the next wheel which has higher coin wins and fewer arrows. If the player manages to get to the centre wheel they will receive the maximum win.
In Conclusion
Trillionaire is a very standard slot. The game uses a regular-sized playing size, has some simple graphics and uses photos as images, and the features will be familiar to all but the newest players. The game doesn’t even have any music that helps it stand out.
As a result, I’m afraid Trillionaire won’t be something that will be remembered very long. The gameplay is okay but I found it to be pretty volatile which resulted in my funds dropping down steadily. It did get boosted up by some big wins, both through the free spins mode and the bonus wheel, but it wasn’t enough to end up with a net positive.
I thought the game was okay in what it offered but unfortunately, there are a lot of slots that do it, and many of those do it in more interesting and appealing ways. If you’re looking for a simple but modern slot that has easy features and some beautiful women as symbols, Trillionaire is acceptable.
