- Crisp, no-nonsense design
- Fast and easy mobile casino
- Fast and easy transfers
- Bonus offers are rather dull
- Underwhelming live casino section
21 Casino (UK) was established in 2015 with the aim of providing the ideal playground for serious players.
Set against a grey background and refined with casino symbols, including dice, chops, cards and a Roulette wheel, our menu is embellished with bright-coloured accents.
The overall vibe of luxury leaning towards opulence, has translated in all aspects of our casino, especially the choice of games.
Needless to say, their promotions are enticing, covering a wide spectrum of gaming options with delightful treats.
With dual-licenses from the UK Gambling Commission and Malta Gaming Authority as well as a reliable SSL encryption in place, 21 Casino has ticked all the right boxes in safeguarding your interests and personal data.
I found 21 Casino to be a pretty solid place to spend some time but was concerned the simple design here could be boring.
I enjoyed the crisp, no-nonsense design of the site, and it was very easy to find my way around on both desktop and mobile. There are only 5 items in the main menu with all of the game options living in a sub-menu on the casino page. I was given the option of downloading an app when playing on my Mac. This was a Chrome browser app which gave me a nice stripped-down window with no distractions.
Signing up to 21 Casino was a pretty painless process with some well-designed forms to fill in. After entering the regular personal details such as address and phone number, I had to verify my email address by clicking on the link they sent me. This took me back to the ‘My 21’ page, which is where all my recently played games are displayed alongside any bonus details. It did seem unusual that there was no prompt to make my first deposit during signup, but that came later with a welcome email.

- 121% match bonus up to £300
If you are ready to get started follow the below steps to claim your welcome offer:
- Sign up for a 21 Casino account
- Verify your account by email
- Make a minimum deposit of £10
- Your welcome offer will be credited to your account
I found the 21 Casino bonus easy to understand as a simple first deposit match of 121%. My £40 was instantly matched, and the £48 showed up as a separate balance in the top left of the screen. Clicking on ‘Bonus Details’ under the ‘Account’ menu, I was able to see the full details of my active bonus. As my bonus was used, the table updated so that I could track the progress and wagering in real-time. In addition to this, my bonus progress was shown at the base of the main ‘My 21’ homepage.
Wagering wise, it comes in at a pretty average thirty-five times 35x (B). When looking at the small print, there is a pretty large list of games which contribute little or zero to the wagering requirements of the welcome offer. It’s definitely worth looking at if you are going to take this on and remember that it must be met within 30 days.
Looking beyond the welcome offer, I can see that there are some decent reload bonuses and free spin offers to keep me coming back here. There’s also a loyalty point scheme where you get 2 points for each £10 wagered on slots. I worked out that I’d get £1 in bonus money for each £1,000 I play. I’d then need to wager my £1 bonus 35x which seems like a pretty raw deal to me.

Despite the name, 21 Casino is not just about online blackjack games. They boast one of the largest slot games collections in the industry, which come in a variety of themes, reels and gameplay.
The game catalogue is powered by Big Time Gaming, Evolution Gaming, Merkur, NetEnt, Microgaming, Thunderkick, Leander, Red Tiger and Barcrest amongst many others.
You will only find the most sought-after games on the market, including the likes of Book of Dead, Starburst, Immortal Romance, Dead or Alive II and Rainbow Riches.
Jackpot fans can rejoice aplenty, with numerous gaming options, including Mega Fortune, Divine Fortune, Hall of Gods, Mega Joker and Lion Festival.
Alternatively, players can available themselves of our numerous table games, including the likes of blackjack, roulette, video poker, bingo and scratchcards.
Once my deposit was taken care of, I headed straight over to the slots selection. Under the ‘Games’ menu, things are divided up into neat categories such as ‘New’, ‘Top’, ‘Slot’, ‘Table’, ‘Jackpot’ and ‘Live’ plus a full list to filter by developer only.
First up I tried a few £0.20 on Reactoonz, but nothing was triggering so I moved on. Trying more £0.20 spins on Jammin’ Jars yielded no wins either. I upped my bet for Piggy Riches Megaways but failed to land anything beyond a couple of £4 wins there. Finally, I pumped some £0.50 spins into Mega Moolah but left with nothing to report here either. I found that all games loaded quickly and played without causing any issues or glitches.
Moving onto the Live Casino selection, I was a bit underwhelmed with the offering. I counted 19 games in total, including the game show style titles. I had a few spins of the wheel on Classic Live Roulette from NetEnt and got £10 up just betting on colours. I then entered the slightly confusing world of Deal or No Deal Live. I played a few rounds here but didn’t win as much as I wagered, but it was fun nonetheless. I’m just happy to report that all the live games worked without a hitch using a home fibre broadband connection.

With the lack of a dedicated Android app, I loaded the casino site in the Chrome browser on my OnePlus phone. Here I found one of the best designed mobile casino sites I’ve seen in quite a while. With a clean 4 item menu at the base of the screen, I found it very easy to navigate around with no glitches and the full functionality of the desktop site. Confusingly, the player menu does have an ‘Install App’ button, but this just adds a home screen shortcut.
First up I had some £0.20 spins on Jack and Beanstalk but pretty much broke even. I tried Legacy of Dead and managed to trigger 8 free spins from the base game. With additional scatters coming, I ended up with 24 free spins and accumulated a total win of £24. My good fortune continued when I played the mobile version of Piggy Riches Megaways. Here I triggered the free spins round and after numerous bonus spins came away with a pretty epic £73.32 win.

I fired up the Live Chat window when I was using my mobile browser to see if the team could answer my question about making a withdrawal. The chat was answered in a very speedy 5 seconds, and the agent was polite with her answers. The one minus point was their initial template reply informing me that I didn’t qualify for a bonus at this time. They apologised and said it was a genuine error, but everything was good otherwise. There was also the option to email a transcript of the chat when closing the window.
The real bugbear, when it comes to support at 21 Casino, is the blatant lack of an FAQ page in any form. The ‘Contact Us’ page just has a live chat button and the support email address but nothing else. I think they would have a lot of unnecessary chat requests by providing at least some basic player information on the site. That said, there was a comprehensive page on responsible gambling and controls under my ‘Account’ menu.

Whenever they are unable to verify information automatically, they’ll request for you to send in the following documents:
- Proof of ID (passport, driving license, ID card)
- Proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, official government letter)
- Proof of Payment Method
There was no mention of any potential checks or verification required during my interaction with 21 Casino. It was unusual not to see at least something mentioned in the welcome emails or signup process. I also couldn’t find any mention of KYC procedures or policy anywhere on their site despite a good sniff around. The lack of a FAQ section didn’t help this search either.
I managed to make a deposit, win some real money and then make a withdrawal without any additional checks or proof of ID being asked for. It would seem that these guys are waiting until a player hits a higher threshold before they activate any further checks. This is fine, but I would like to see some kind of heads up so that players are not taken by surprise further down the tracks.
21 Casino accepts a wide array of banking methods. You can make a deposit and withdrawals with one of the following methods:
- Debit Cards
- Prepaid Vouchers
After I’d signed up and logged in as a new player, I went to make a deposit right away. There was a notice on the deposits page stating they could no longer accept credit card payment as per the UKGC regulations. There was also a line confirming that the minimum deposit is £10 and there are zero fees charged.
I selected Visa Debit and entered the amount of £40. Before confirming, I had the option to check the welcome bonus offer which I did to test it out. There was also a box to tick to confirm that I understood their customer funds protection policy. Once I’d passed the ‘Verified by Visa’ check, I got a pop-up confirmation to say that my deposit was a success. The £40 real cash funds and 121% bonus match cash showed up instantly. I also got an email confirming my full deposit details which was reassuring.
When I requested a withdrawal of my winnings, I instantly received an email which said, ‘Your withdrawal will stay pending for approximately 2 days; during which time you have the option to reverse your withdrawal; upon reversal, funds will be returned to your playing account immediately.’ However, after contacting the casino via live chat, they confirmed that it’s no longer possible to make a withdrawal reversal in line with UKGC guidance.
It took 28 hours for my withdrawal to be approved, and the funds arrived in my bank account around 4 hours after approval. I can’t fault 21 Casino here, the process was smooth, speedy and I was kept informed at all times via email.
