➖ No live casino lobby on desktop

BetTarget has been growing steadily in the sports betting UK market, and also offers a casino experience for their punters. While their casino is fully functional and comes with a huge game catalog, there's nothing much to distinguish it from dozens of other brands who are also after my money. There's nothing wrong with the site as such, but there's not much there either to stick to my memory.
BetTarget Casino has a good range of both slots and live casino table games, but would profit from more categories. Apart from the usual ones like ‘New, ‘Jackpot' etc., there is not much organisation, and I was left to my own devices to find the games I wanted to play.
What's worse, their live casino has no category to itself on desktop at all. The live tables are hidden among the slots. This means that their live casino is invisible unless you know it's there and search for a table by its name or provider. The live casino lobby is available on mobile though.
Even on mobile, the live casino lobby just lumps all live games together without any further grouping. I'd love to see subcategories for different kinds of tables and games – now your only chance is to use the search function for roulette, blackjack, baccarat… for example, live game shows are now completely hidden from the players unless they search them by name, or happen to bump into them when scrolling the games.
The usability of the site could use a bit of tweaking, as it takes a lot of time to find important information, and the pages load sluggishly on both desktop and mobile, sometimes giving errors. When I log in, I get blank pages that need refreshing, and sometimes there are links that don't seem to take me anywhere, and pop-ups that disappear before one has time to read them.
All this on top of their rather run-of-the-mill casino welcome offer makes it look like they don't really care at all about casino players. Yes, the games are there, but once you've registered, good luck with finding the ones you like.
If sports betting is your main thing and you just want to spin on some slots or maybe roulette occasionally, then BetTarget will suit you fine. Their slot selection is formidable, but both their welcome offer and the general usability of the casino leave some things to be desired.
BetTarget Casino's Welcome Offer isn't overtly welcoming, but it's not the worst in the market either. You'll get bonus spins, that's all - this is fairly common in the UK market.
The first offer looks like this:
New UK players only, 18+. A minimum deposit of £10 applies. Bonus is subject to a 35x wagering requirement. Games contribute differently towards playthroughs. Winnings received through the use of bonus spins shall not exceed £100. Please gamble responsibly. Full and Bonus apply. BeGambleAware.org.
BetTarget's Welcome Offer for casino players is modest, to say the least:
Follow these steps to claim the welcome package:
You will need to deposit a minimum of £10 to claim the first bonus spins. And after you use the first offer, there are two additional bonus spin packages you can claim: first, deposit £20 and you'll get 50 spins on Starburst, then deposit another £20, and get 100 spins on Fire Joker. The spins are valued at £0.1 each.
Note that the spins come with a wagering requirement of 35x, meaning you will need to play through the bonus spins winnings 35 times before making a withdrawal. But you have 21 days to do so, and that should be more than enough to fulfill the requirement. I've seen a lot worse in the market.
And I myself would take a lean & clean spins offer any day over a big, fat, complicated bonus with stringent requirements I can't fulfill. BetTarget's offer, while a bit on the simple side, is middle-of-the-road for UK, especially with the 35x wagering requirement – there are many places that ask a lot more from you.
Winnings from the bonus spins are capped at £100. It may not sound like much, but for a £10 deposit, it's quite okay.
Please gamble responsibly.
At BetTarget you can take part in three big network tournaments: Drops&Wins, Into the Universe, and SlotsN' Bash, to chase those dreamy big prizes.
There's also a promotion called Daily Spins Frenzy which claims that you can get up to 50 bonus spins by completing daily challenges.
This sounded promising – until I read on and found out that the daily 'challenge' is just wagering. Play with enough money and you'll get spins... and the limits are kind of harsh: you need to wager worth £1,000 in one day to get the full package of 50 spins the next day. Also note that any winnings from these spins need to be wagered 50x, and are capped at max £100.
So yeah, it's a challenge – but not in the way I expected.
Furthermore, there is no sign of a VIP or loyalty program anywhere on the site, so I assume there aren't any.
All of this adds to my feeling that the casino at BetTarget is an afterthought, and they want to put all their effort into their Sportsbook instead.
With close to 2,000 slots and live tables from almost 50 providers, BetTarget could be casino heaven if they put in a bit more effort to make their casino more user-friendly.
BetTarget's game provider list is quite respectable, and all the big names you'd expect to find there are present, from Microgaming, Evolution, and NetEnt to Play'n Go, Red Tiger, and Yggdrasil.
As it is now, I can browse the games by provider, pull up an alphabetical list of games, or go for the categories that are there, such as New or Jackpot games.
With their selection of games and providers, BetTarget has all the makings of a great casino – once they put some effort into making it a habitable place. At this moment, it feels like you're wandering around in a big building with lots of doors, but no signs anywhere. Sure, I can find all the games I want through the search function, but should I do all this legwork myself? Other casinos don't think so.
With 150 live casino games on offer, it escapes me why on earth would the casino choose not to have a live lobby on their desktop, as they do on mobile. Not everyone plays only on mobile - especially live tables profit from the space and detail that only desktop playing can offer.
And even on mobile, the lobby just groups all live games under one title. If you're a seasoned live casino shark, you'll know which games, tables, or providers to search for – and you won't be disappointed, as BetTarget offers a lot of live tables and general live casino entertainment once you find it yourself. But those of us who are not so familiar with the live casino experience may miss all the fun.
BetTarget offers a great selection of live blackjack, baccarat, and roulette tables, with professional and friendly dealers, streamed in HD quality from the best studios around the world – if you can find them.
While BetTarget doesn't offer a dedicated mobile app, their site runs relatively well on the browser on your mobile.
Most of the issues that affect the site on desktop are also present on mobile - sluggish pages, less-than-intuitive navigation, and the lack of categories are still there. But the gameplay is smooth in itself, and at least there's a live casino section available, unlike on desktop. Games load properly (if a bit slowly), so you can fill your long commuting hours with some high-octane entertainment at BetTarget just as well as with other casinos.
The site runs equally well on both iOS and Android through your mobile browser, although it does have a bit of a squished feel to it - some menus and info can be a bit hard to find, but once you get used to where everything is, you can play the best slots and stream the best live tables from across the globe.
BetTarget offers a solid selection of payment methods that let you deposit and withdraw safely and efficiently, including debit cards, e-wallets, prepaid cards, and bank transfers. Deposits happen instantly, and withdrawal times range between a few hours to six business days, depending on the method used.
BetTarget uses the latest SSL encryption technology so all your data is properly protected.
All methods are available for both deposits and withdrawals except for MasterCard debit and PaySafe cards, which can only be used for deposits.
Big props to the detailed deposit instructions that you can access by first using the "Deposits" button at the bottom of the page, and then clicking on the method of your choice. But also, a big minus for no info on any withdrawal limits.
BetTarget's customer support works fine - if you can find them!
You need to scroll down to the very bottom of the page, where you will find buttons for email and chat support. The chat is only available for registered and logged-in customers though, so any questions you might want answered before committing yourself to the casino must be dealt with through email.
Both my emails and the chat were dealt with quickly, and gave me all the answers I needed.
BetTarget also has a formidable and well-organised FAQ section. There are well over 100 of the most commonly asked questions, so chances are you don't need customer support at all, as your answer probably has been answered already in the FAQ.
I contacted the team with some questions by both email and chat.
The email was answered within an hour, and the chat took only a minute or two to reply in a helpful and professional manner.
BetTarget, as any casino operating in the UK market, is required by law to verify your account and identity through a KYC (Know Your Customer) process, which you will need to complete before making your first deposit at BetTarget.
As soon as you log in, you will be prompted to send in the following documents:
Documents must be uploaded via BetTarget's dedicated document uploader. If this doesn't work for you for any reason, get in touch with customer support and they will help you with the issue.
The document uploader option works quickly - just select files from your computer or drag and drop them into a window. You will get an email once you're verified, and this shouldn't take more than a few hours, or overnight if they're really busy. The instructions on the uploader are quite good too.
BetTarget takes responsible gambling seriously, as all casinos worth your patronage do.
Once you click on their "Responsible Gambling" section link, you can fill in a quick questionnaire about your gaming habits and will receive recommendations according to your answers. But answering the questionnaire is not mandatory, you can just scroll past it to read more about their responsible gaming policy.
BetTarget offers a good range of tools that promote responsible gambling to help you stay in control of your gambling and spending:
If online gambling causes you even the slightest stress or discomfort, we strongly recommend you get in touch with Gambling Therapy Helpline and Gamblers Anonymous.
