NetBet has garnered a solid reputation in the UK as a top-notch bookmaker since their founding in 2001, and they have showed no signs of slowing down. Nowadays the site is a port of call for all players, ranging from desktop users to more mobile-minded bettors.

As you can expect, NetBet is of course operating under a UK Gambling Commission licence. This guarantees an safe and secure (SSL) betting experience, complete with tax-free winnings for all.

In addition to their extensive betting markets, you can also find plenty of innovations of their own, such as their SnapBet, Betplus Wheel of Sportune or BetMaker. There always seems to be something extra to be found at NetBet, so let's take a deeper dive into this popular bookie.

This is what Netbet sports looks like on mobile in the UK

NetBet betting bonuses and live streaming of horse racing are among the reasons to join here.

However, there are a few downsides such as the fact registering for an account can be slow and frustrating if age checks are not passed automatically.

While NetBet has solid iOS and Android apps available, its desktop site can also run slowly.

A good range of markets helps to make up for this, though, while the odds are good and the SnapBet feature that NetBet has to offer is something a bit different from the norm as well.

Overall rating:

NetBet free bet & sign up offer

NetBet has temporarily removed their bonus for new players. Remember to check this page later for NetBet sign up offer when it's available again!

Expert's review Jamie Smith

Joining NetBet is very easy, but unfortunately at the present time there is no NetBet free bet and sign up offer available for UK users.

Customers wishing to sign up with this bookmaker should simply click through via Bojoko's link, which will take them to the registration page.

A form of acca insurance is available for NetBet new customers, but it is fair to say that as well as the lack of a NetBet free bet & sign up offer, the betting bonuses here could be better.

Free bet no deposit

NetBet doesn't offer no deposit bonuses or free bets at the moment.

NetBet overall has a pretty high payout compared to most betting sites, and in addition to this, there are plenty of sweet offers and promotions to make this number even higher! This includes the likes of Acca Boost, Betplus and Acca Refunds, which will all help you get even more bang for your buck when playing at NetBet.

Netbet change to decimal odds

The display of Netbet's odds format is changeable. Punters can select fractional, decimal, or the American way of showing the odds. The odds style can change from the settings.

This is how to change netbet odds to decimal

For some reason, the default setting on NetBet is for odds to be shown in American format. This seems to be an odd choice given the fact most UK users will be unfamiliar with how they work, but it is easy enough to switch them to either decimal or fractional using the NetBet menu bar.

The NetBet odds themselves, though, are pretty good, while not quite the best around. Those who are seeking the best value can make the most of the site's NetBet boosts, which when I was browsing the sportsbook included correct score options for upcoming big football games.

With over two decades of experience in the industry, the bet selection at NetBet has plenty to offer no matter your preferences. All traditional sports in the UK from football to greyhounds are well covered, while more exotic options include stuff like esports, chess, bowls, politics, gaelic football & hurling + much much more.

In total there are about 30 different sports to bet on at NetBet, while on the virtual sports side of things way over a 1000 bets are available at almost all times. The platform is extremely easy to use, with all of the most popular games and bet types listed clearly to see.

The list of sports available to bet on at NetBet is strong, with football and tennis among the most popular options along with the likes of horse racing and greyhounds.

Minor sports like bandy, bowls and futsal are available too, as well as TV and film specials such as the outcome of the Academy Awards. People interested in politics are able to place bets on various markets including the outcome of elections in the UK, the US and across Europe.

For a typical game in the Premier League, NetBet's sportsbook has over 150 bets to pick from. This is a lot, but it is still quite a lot lower than some of the UK's best betting brands can offer.

Esports betting is becoming more popular of late. NetBet's sportsbook gives users the option to pick from top esports such as Dota 2, CS:GO, King of Glory, League of Legends and Valorant.

Virtual sports are also available, with NetBet offering football, greyhounds and horse racing.

NetBet has gone one step beyond when it comes to their Cash Out, as you can use both a full and partial Cash Out on most of your bets, no matter whether they are single or accumulators. This means you can insure a winning bet easily for the sum you want, deciding how much risk you want to take on massive wins in real time.

You can find the Cash Out icon on your bets from your betslip from the My Bets -section on the site.

NetBet has done a lot of work on the in-play side of things, giving live betting enthusiasts plenty to work with. There are plenty of bets to be found on all games around the clock, and all of this is supplemented nicely with beautiful graphics allowing you to keep track of statistics and what's going on in the games.

NetBet has a decent provision of live in-play betting, but it is notable that the range of markets are not as deep as when browsing the plentiful pre-match options.

Some stats and data can be viewed when betting in-play, while NetBet's option to create a bet remains in play once the action is under way as well.

The minimum stake is £0.13 for live bets that are placed via the NetBet sportsbook site and there are also some live streams available to watch for customers who sign up for an account.

NetBet has live racing from a wide range of countries including USA, UAE, Germany, Uruguay, Brazil, Spain and Chile for its users. There is no need to place a bet to access NetBet TV either, while fans of dog racing will be pleased to see NetBet TV also has live greyhounds streams too.

Naturally, cashing out live in-play bets at NetBet is possible, as well as pre-match wagers too. Cash out is a little slow, taking a few seconds to be processed, but the offers seem fair.

Additionally, NetBet has a SnapBet feature that will allow its users to bet on a goal scored in the next 30 seconds, one minute, five minutes or 10 minutes of live soccer matches as well.

Mobile is first and foremost on the mind of most betting sites nowadays, and NetBet is no exception. This is why the site provides players with the option of choosing either the NetBet app (on Android) or through your device's own browser. All in all, no matter if you're on a smart phone or tablet, a top-quality mobile experience is provided.

The website operates smoothly thanks to the HTML5 technology it's running on, and everything you could possibly want from a betting site is always just a tap or two of your screen away.

NetBet has mobile betting apps available for both iOS and Android, which is a tick in the box.

The apps from NetBet give customers access to more than 25,000 live events every month, while there are real-time stats plus a live match tracker and push notifications on them too.

Both the NetBet iOS and NetBet Android apps have been well reviewed by mobile users, who can access the betting brand's suite of casino games as well as its sportsbook on the apps.

Those who do not fancy downloading either the NetBet iOS or NetBet Android apps on to their devices can make do with NetBet's mobile site, which works well and includes live streaming.

Safe & responsible gambling

First things first, if you or anyone close to you is suffering from a gambling problem requiring outside counseling or support, contact Gamblers Anonymous or the Gambling Therapy Helpline. Betting should be solely for entertainment purposes, but for some it unfortunately can develop into a serious problem.

To combat this, NetBet offers all of their players the following tools to make sure betting on their site is kept responsible:

Everyone needs a bit of help sometimes, and at NetBet aid is never far away when needed. The helpful customer support team at NetBet can be contacted via email 24/7 through it's own section on the site, while live chat services are available in English 09-23 UK time. As a nice touch, Whatsapp customer service is also available!

However, the first port of call when faced with any kind of problem on the site should be the help center, where the FAQ can be found. There are plenty of common Frequently Asked Questions covered, and you can also search for a question from the site's own search bar.

When I needed to get in touch with NetBet customer support to question why my account was under review, I got a rapid response from a friendly member of the site's live chat service team.

They had to check my details for security clearance before proceeding to answer questions, though, which did slow down the process a little. This could be frustrating for any users who have a small issue that requires a fast answer to be given out as quickly as possible.

Customer service advised me that NetBet has no live sports streaming, but this is not true.

It is also possible to get customer support via WhatsApp, which not many sites can offer.

When I emailed in my ID to get my account verified at around 4pm on a Monday, I did not receive a response until 9am the next morning.

NetBet advises that it should reply to all emails that are sent to its customer service team within a 24-hour period.

KYC & Documents

Scams, fraud and money laundering are modern and serious issues, which is why NetBet follows a KYC policy to the dot. This means that you may be asked documents at some point while playing at the site, which may include:

Sending these documents is a rather painless process, as you can find the place to do it easily from you my account -section on the site. Documents are also received through the NetBet inbox.

Mobile verification is part of the process of registering for an account to play at NetBet. Users will have to enter their mobile phone number, which will be sent a four-digit code that has to be entered into the NetBet registration form before the new customer will be able to proceed.

After that, users should be up and running and will be able to make a first deposit into the account after they decide whether they want to set a limit for how much they can deposit.

However, I found my account was immediately placed under review, blocking me from making my first deposit at NetBet. I had to send a copy of my passport over via email to get started as a result of my account not initially passing the NetBet age verification checks. I had to find this out by contacting customer support - NetBet did not email me with instructions on what to do next.

Frustratingly, the picture of the ID I sent in via email initially was not deemed acceptable, so I had to repeat the process again. I included a copy of a recent bank statement in order to tick that box at the same time, in the hope that it would help to get my account up and running.

All in all, it took five days from registering at NetBet until I could actually use my account. As part of the verification checks, NetBet also asked me questions about my job and income, in order to have the information assessed by a member of NetBet's customer review team.

NetBet has a policy of working strictly solely with payment providers of the utmost trustworthiness. This means that there perhaps aren't quite as many deposit- or withdrawal options as on some other sites, but at least the safety of your funds are properly guaranteed. The minimum deposit to the site is £10.

This doesn't however mean that NetBet is severely lacking in this aspect, and almost all of the payment methods needed, such as debit cards, prepaid vouchers and electronic wallets are available. The withdrawal times from the site should be a bit more speedier, but in many cases you will be enjoying your winnings much faster than the numbers they have told us below.

NetBet has a raft of options for users to pick from when it comes to money transfers and payment methods, including the standard debit cards from Visa and Mastercard. It is also possible to use e-wallets such as PayPal and ecoPayz to add funds at NetBet too.

Users who want to pay via phone bill can do so through Boku at NetBet, which has also added Apple Pay to its approved list of options for money transfers and payment methods. Those on Android have not been forgotten about either, with Google Pay also possible to be used as well.

CashtoCode also lets customers deposit at NetBet using cash, at any PayPoint outlet with no registration or bank details required, but it is not possible to play with cryptocurrency here yet. CashtoCode deposits must be at least £20 at NetBet, with other options having a £10 limit.

When it comes to withdrawals, NetBet customers have to withdraw at least £10 in one go. NetBet also advises users that it will charge a 1.5 per cent fee on all withdrawal requests of over £500, which some customers are likely to find frustrating in the event they have had a big win.

Withdrawal time frames depend on the payment method that is used, according to NetBet. The site says that withdrawals for e-wallets such as PayPal will likely take about 24 hours. However, a withdrawal request through a bank card can take up to four working days and via wire transfer, it can take up to eight working days for a NetBet customer to get their hands on their money.

When I made a withdrawal using PayPal at 9am on a Monday morning, I received the money into my e-wallet account just over 24 hours later, which is quite slow for an e-wallet payment.
