BetTarget, owned by Esports Technology Ltd and operating with Aspire Globals platform, is a fairly new betting site, having only launched in 2021. However, Aspire does have extensive experience in the sports betting market, as they are the company behind Karamba. BetTarget markets itself as a “no-frills, bet-smart, Sportsbook” and this certainly shows in the BetTarget brand.

As with most bookmakers these days, BetTarget needs to offer more than just a sportsbook and they do so with their casino and live casino games. On offer are developers such as Netent, Red Tiger, Microgaming, Quickspin and many more.

My first impression of BetTarget is that they do offer exactly what they claim, a no-frills sportsbook.

Finding the best deals when it comes to a bookmaker these days could be a hassle, fortunately, Bojoko makes it easy by providing the link to claim your welcome offer. No need to remember pesky bonus codes, Bojoko does it all for you.

After following the link on Bojoko, I promptly landed on the BetTarget site, after having a quick look around, I clicked on join to start the sign-up process.

First, I needed to provide an email address, which I promptly provided and then followed with a password of my choosing. Next came the mobile phone number and then I needed to provide a username. Thereafter I confirmed my name and surname, gender and address details, selected my currency and pressed confirm. The whole process was very easy and completed in less than a minute.

After I finished the sign-up process, I had to complete the KYC process to make a deposit and place a wager. Subsequently, after placing my first wager, I received my welcome bonus, which I promptly used.

When trying to get your welcome offer, make sure of the conditions that are required to receive your bonus.

Free bet no deposit

BetTarget doesn't offer no deposit bonuses or free bets at the moment.

First deposit bonus code

You don't need a bonus code to claim BetTarget's first deposit bonus.

BetTarget is a good choice for bettors who want value for their money, as the odds can handle some comparison with an average payout percentage across the site of 94%. As can be expected, the best (and even higher than the average) payouts can be found in the most popular sports and leagues.

There are also some nice accumulator boosts available for those of us searching for the biggest wins in betting. The biggest acca-boosts on the site go up to as high as 77%.

Odds are an important aspect of any bookmaker's offering, too this end it should be enticing you to sign up or, more importantly, stay. If the odds are too low, punters feel ripped off and will just go back to other bookmakers.

When comparing the odds on BetTarget with other major players in the sportsbook arena, I was pleasantly surprised. I did not expect the odds to be good as they are, but they certainly are better than I expected. It is definitely not the best odds on the markets, but they are still good.

By default, they set my odds to decimal, which I prefer. However, for those that do prefer their odds to be represented in a different format, BetTarget has you covered, with fractional and American.

BetTarget is a part of a larger group of sites, so they have the resources to provide some very extensive betting markets to their players. Bettors can enjoy upwards of 30 different kinds of sports to bet on, with all UK favourites that you could imagine being available from horse racing to darts.

Practically every sport under the sun is covered, along with a chunky amount of betting options for each match, not just the usual ones. Even lower league matches provide you with dozens and dozens of choices on what to bet.

BetTarget promises you more than 300K pre-match events per year and 300+ markets per match. These certainly sound amazing and they do deliver on this. From the random matches I picked, there was a dizzying number of markets to choose from, however, this is mostly limited to football.

I found that they represent most of the major sports on BetTarget, such as football, Horse Racing and Greyhounds. Some of the more obscure sports are also on offer, like E-sports, but you will find more on offer from the larger, more established bookmakers.

The markets are by no means bad, but they do not compare to what you could find at the High Street bookmakers.

BetTarget wants to help nervous bettors secure their wins in advance with their cash out option. Cash out is available for single and accumulator bets in most sports, such as popular ones like football, basketball, tennis and volleyball.

Like always, the bigger your chances of winning, the larger the available cash out amount will be. However, you should always remember that the cash out amount available will always be with reduced odds to the original bet. If you want to cash out a bet, simply click on the cash out icon from your betslip.

No matter what your clock is showing, there is always something interesting to be found from BetTarget's in-play markets. Every single live match on the site is full to the brim with good betting options, and all the most popular matches are shown straight away to you on the home page.

You can also enjoy the services provided you by the Statscore game center, where all major statistics and events from the ongoing game can be found to help you with choosing what to bet on.

For me, live betting is one of the more important aspects of a bookmaker, as this is where I place most of my bets. I enjoy the quick spur-of-the-moment punt and the fast turnaround time until it pays out.

Placing an in-game bet was not the most difficult task, however, from placing the bet and confirming the bet, it took slightly longer than I am used to. And as such, the first time I placed my bet, I placed the same bet twice, thinking that something went wrong. Fortunately, Iwas able to cash out the unwanted bet moments later.

There are several features on BetTarget geared towards live betting such as the multiview, which saves you a lot of time, so you do not have to switch between different matches. Another feature that is rather useful is the game tracker, however, this is no substitute for live streaming of matches.

Mobile bettors do not have an app to download if they want to play at BetTarget, as the browser of your smart phone or tablet will do just fine. The bookies' mobile platform is extremely well designed, with all the necessary information being in front of your eyes at all times.

The buttons are large enough to not cause any trouble, and all features of the normal site like creating an account, acquiring the welcome bonus and talking to customer service are all available to mobile users as well.

BetTarget has no mobile app available for download, unlike the major players in the sports betting market. This, however, is not a big issue as the BetTarget website works perfectly fine via the browsers found on mobile phones.

Safe & responsible gambling

Safety first is one of a few actually good sayings, and this applies to betting at BetTarget as well. This is why BetTarget wants to do all they can to limit gambling problems, which is why the following tools are available to players to combat problematic behavior patters:

In addition to this, you can also find a lot of useful links through which you can seek help. The safety of the site is also guaranteed thanks to the UKGC license and encryption to keep your information secure.

Everything doesn't always go perfectly when you're betting, which is where the helpful customer service step in. They can't really do anything about bad luck while betting, but any other problems will be handled for your promptly.

You can reach out to the customer service team with live chat and email, the latter of which is done via a special form on the site. BetTarget's customer service team is online 7 days a week from 7am to 11pm GMT, but you can of course send messages through the form at other times as well.

When you contact customer support, it's normally because you have an issue, and the last thing you need or want is to be kept waiting.

Customer support on BetTarget is available through email and chat, from 8:00 am GMT to 00:00 GMT, which you can access from various places on the website.

When connecting to customer service through the chat function, the time of day influenced how long the response time was. During the course of the day, it took roughly 2 minutes to find a customer service representative to talk to. During peak times, this rose to around 10 minutes, with responses taking several minutes.

As to the email I sent to customer support, well, I am still waiting on the response.

I found the FAQ to be a bit lacking in detail. Although you can find some answers, it is hardly comprehensive and more reminiscent of a work in progress.

KYC & Documents

Bookmakers need to know who exactly is playing on their site, and Bettarget is no exception. Sometimes sending documents can feel frustrating, but with this bookies' document uploader at least it's fast and easy. You may need to provide:

These may be asked of you once when making a withdrawal, and generally just a proof of id will suffice.

After registration, I was immediately prompted to verify my account with BetTarget and this is an important step in first registering with a bookmaker. Bookmakers are required to comply with KYC requirements and if this is not done, could hamper your enjoyment of the site.

From the landing page, I accessed “My Account” at the drop-down arrow located at the top right. Thereafter, I selected “Documents Upload” from the pop-up menu that appeared.

For proof of identity, I uploaded my driver's licence, which was verified while I waited. Next came the proof of address, which they verified while I waited. This was rather impressive, as I was expecting this to take much longer. The whole process took under a minute since I had already come prepared with digital copies of my documents.

I was very impressed with the verification process, which was one of the fastest and most straightforward that I have gone through.

All of the most common methods are available for deposits and withdrawals from traditional cards like Visa and Mastercard to e-wallets like Skrill and Neteller.

The minimum deposit at Bettarget is £10. Withdrawal times can vary depending on the method of your choice, but all withdrawals are guaranteed to be processed within 48 hours.

After the great verification process, I was expecting the deposit process to be just as smooth. However, this was not exactly the case and was a bit frustrating.

I headed to the “Deposit” located to the top right of the page. From the pop-up deposit menu, I had several options, but I stuck to the most used option, Visa. Adding a new card was a straightforward process. I entered my 16 digit card number, confirmed the expiry date and CVV. Thereafter, I entered the required deposit amount, and this was where things did not go as planned. First was the fact that they would charge me 2.5% to make a deposit, the second, was that my deposit just did not go through.

After contacting customer support and waiting a few hours, I could try again. On my second attempt, I thought ‌it was happening again, but left the deposit window open and finally, the 3D secure loaded, which directed me to my banking app. Fortunately, the funds cleared immediately, and all was good, except that I had to pay 2.5% to make a deposit.

When all the betting fun was done, I wanted to withdraw my winnings. To do this, I headed to “My Account” and selected “Cashout”. I selected the withdrawal back to my Visa card, entered the amount and confirmed my withdrawal, which I received 7 hours later.

I do need to mention that BetTarget supports various other deposit and withdrawal methods, and you will probably find one that will suit your needs. The card options include Visa, MasterCard and Maestro, the alternative options are, online bank transfer, Sofort, Trustly, Skrill, PayPal, Neteller, ecoPayz, Giropay, Interac, AstroPay, Muchbetter, Euteller, EPS and Paysafecard.

Last, before making a deposit to receive the welcome bonus, make sure you are using a method that is allowed, as they excluded some methods from the welcome bonus.
