Metal Casino (UK) makes you feel like a rock megastar from the get-go. Since launching in 2017, they have combined heavy guitar sounds with an online casino concept. This turned heads amongst players who love rock and metal music and want to have a rockin’ time!
The team behind the brand is made up of a tightknit team of casino friends and metalheads, bringing together more than 30 years of combined experience in gaming, music and tech companies.
With a six-string guitar acting as a background, along with cards and chips, the sleek black interface helps you navigate around the site with ease, without having to look hard to find what you are looking for.
The awesome thing about Metal Casino is that not only do they want you to have a good time, but also do so responsibly. That means real-deal licences, big-name game providers, trusted payment methods and round the clock customer support. And most importantly, they are licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission.
The first thing that strikes you about the Metal Casino is its unique design and eye-catching theme, which gives an affirming nod to heavy metal and cult rock bands like Black Sabbath.
To this end, the site combines bold lettering with a stark black background, while using an edgy tone that sets it apart from its rivals. Despite being design-led, the site is also well laid out and navigable, with the best and most popular games taking centre stage in the lobby.
However, there are issues for the site to address, with its welcome bonus a little underwhelming and unlikely to appeal to either low or high-rollers.
Similarly, the absence of a live chat feature for new players is problematic and maybe something that the site considers overturning in the future.
Sign up for a Metal Casino account and make your first deposit to claim:
- 100% match deposit bonus up to £50 + 50 bonus spins on Book of Dead
Here’s how to claim your welcome offer:
- Sign up for a Metal Casino account
- Verify your account by email
- Make a minimum deposit of £10
- Your welcome offer will be credited to your account
The Metal Casino offers a relatively straightforward welcome bonus to new players, with 50 free spins available on NetEnt’s high-octane Ozzy Osbourne video slot.
This is available to all new players who initially credit their account with a minimum of £10, at which point the first 10 spins should be automatically added to your account (you’ll receive an additional 10 every 24 hours upon logging in over the course of the next four days).
However, there are a couple of things to bear in mind when making your first deposit and claiming the bonus. Firstly, you’ll be automatically promoted to credit your account with £50 when you click through the ‘Deposit icon’ in the top right-hand corner of the homepage, while the minimum amount you can select automatically is £20.
However, you can deposit as little as £10 by entering this amount manually in the box just above the deposit tab, while still qualifying for the welcome bonus.
I also had issues when claiming the bonus, as this didn’t appear immediately after my deposit had been confirmed. I raised this as an issue with the customer service team by email and an agent replied advising me to log out of my account and re-enter my credentials.
Fortunately, this worked and my first 10 free spins were available immediately when I loaded the Ozzy Osbourne slot. However, it was slightly inconvenient to have to chase the bonus funds, particularly as I only had a limited window in which to wager and play the game.
Each free spin was worth £0.20, and over the course of four days I earned a total of four re-spins and £5.60 when playing the Ozzy Osbourne slots. This is typical for a mid-variance title and the relatively modest base game wins on offer make it unlikely that you’ll reach the maximum cashout value of £1,000.
The promotion also features hefty wagering requirements of 45x your free spin winnings, which in my case meant I had to play through £252 before I could withdraw any bonus funds. While this may not seem like a huge amount, it’s relatively disproportionate given the value of the winnings in question and the cost of each spin.
Whatsmore, there’s only a brief seven-day window in which to meet this wagering requirement and this requires a significant commitment in terms of both time and money.
With these points in mind, it’s unlikely that this bonus offers enough value or potential returns to high-rollers, while the inflated wagering requirements may also be off-putting to those of you with restricted bankrolls.

From the moment you start playing games at Metal Casino, you’ll earn Metcoins, which can be spent at the Merch Shop.
You can exchange the Metcoins for exclusive merchandise, bonuses and more.
Metal Casino has created convenient categories in the casino game section to help you browse games, according to a theme. You can find amongst many options, Metal Gods, The Classics, Most Popular, Killer Games and jackpots.
They boast a bountiful game library with some of the best and most recent releases from top software providers in the industry. Games featured are from the likes of NetEnt, Evolution Gaming, Play ’n Go, Quickspin, Thunderkick, Yggdrasil and many more.
Amongst some of the most popular titles, there is, Guns ‘n Roses, Book of Dead, Twin Spin, Dead or Alive, Immortal Romance and Phoenix Sun. The majority of the games available here come with modern features, such as free spins bonus rounds, expanding wilds, scatters and more.
You’ll also be delighted to hear that multi-million jackpot game Mega Fortune is also available. Table game players, on the other hand, have access to Blackjack and Roulette.
There are more than 1,500 games available at the Metal Casino, with this number including a heady mix of classic slots and unique, rock-themed titles that aren’t always widely available online.
These games are extremely well-organised too, as immediately beneath the fold on the homepage you’ll see a host of categories including popular slots, recently played games and the weekly billboard.
A search bar also sits adjacent to this horizontal menu, and you can use this to seek out specific titles directly rather than browsing the site.
However, I did experience some issues when loading games, particularly with the aforementioned Ozzy Osbourne slot. While this took around 15 seconds to load on average, there were several instances where the game failed to load at all and instead forced me to return to the lobby.
This also happened with some of my preferred slots including Book of Dead and Mega Moolah, so you may need to be patient when loading your chosen games.
While the site doesn’t have too many live games, you’ll find several familiar titles in the respective roulette and blackjack lobbies (which tend to load quickly and in less than five seconds on average)
These include personal favourites like Lightning Roulette and Infinite Blackjack, which also load relatively quickly and don’t appear to experience any significant lag.
Interestingly, I’ve yet to experience any noticeable delays or connection issues when loading live games, although this may vary according to different software providers.

Metal Casino's website was created using the latest HTML5 technology. You can gamble on the go, anywhere and anytime you want from your smartphone or tablet.
Provided you have a stable internet connection, you are able to access a vast array of games, promotions and offers.
At present, Metal Casino doesn't operate native apps on either iOS or Android, but the good news is that you can access the mobile site through either a Safari or Chrome browser on your device.
I used my iPhone’s Safari browser to access the mobile site, which borrows heavily from the desktop version to create a seamless gaming experience across different devices.
You can still access your account information through a slick drop-down menu in the top right-hand corner of the screen, for example, while the games are categorised and displayed in pretty much the same way.
The load times here are similar to the desktop version, while you can access most slots and games in either landscape or portrait mode. However, it’s hard to navigate the lobby and games library in the former, so you’ll have to switch between modes when transitioning from one title to another.

The focus of Metal Casino is on slot machines, but they also have a modest selection of live dealer games available for your disposal.
You can play Casino Hold’em, Live Roulette and Dream Catcher. Since these games are highly interactive, you can chat with the dealer and other players, just as you would if you were playing at a brick-and-mortar casino.

If you require further assistance, Metal Casino recommends getting in touch with charities and organisations, such as The National Gambling Helpline and the Responsible Gambling Trust.
If you are experiencing difficulty with gambling, you might want to consider installing tools that block access to gambling sites, with tools such as Gamblock.
Metal Casino has made sure that you can reach their customer support agents 24/7 via live-chat, by sending an email to email@example.com or by following our Twitter account @MetalCasino.
If there’s an area where the site needs some improvement, it’s the provision of customer service.
This is definitely true in the case of the live chat feature, as while this is advertised by the brand and listed on the FAQ page I was unable to access this even when logged into my account.
More specifically, when I clicked through the ‘Open Chat’ icon on the right-hand side of the FAQ page, this didn’t open a new window or connect me with an agent in real-time.
I sought to clarify this by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, which is the second channel for contacting the customer service team. Fortunately, I received a response within 10 minutes, confirming that I needed to make at least three deposits before being able to access the live chat.
I found this to be a strange and restrictive rule and one that makes little sense when you consider the other benefits and generous bonus offers extended to new players.
Still, the quick and courteous response of the team by email was reassuring, and I received a similarly swift message when raising my first question about accessing the bonus offer. This means that there’s at least one reliable way of interacting with customer service agents for new players, so this should provide reassurance if you experience issues with your account.
The aforementioned FAQ page is also detailed and packed full of useful information, providing answers to a number of generic questions about bonuses, payment methods, account management and verification.
This should always be your first port of call unless you have a complex query or one that’s likely to be unique to your account.

As a licensed operator, Metal Casino is obliged by law to verify who you say you are. If they cannot verify this information automatically, the casino will ask you to send in the following documents:
- Proof of ID (passport, driving license, ID card)
- Proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, official government letter)
- Proof of Payment Method
When you register for an account at the Metal Casino, you’ll initially have to enter personal details including your name, address and email across two different screens.
You’ll then have to use your mobile number to verify your account. Once you’ve entered this, you’ll be sent a five-digit code by SMS and will be prompted to enter this before confirming your details.
This information will be used to verify your identity electronically, so it’s important that you enter your details accurately. If you do this successfully and are listed on the electoral roll at your current address, you should be able to deposit funds, wager and make withdrawals instantly.
However, the site reserves the right to request further documentation, especially if you’re not on the electoral roll. Similarly, they’ll ask you to send proof of ID, address and payment method if your overall account activity (including both deposits and withdrawals) exceeds £2,000.
Acceptable documentation includes photo ID, a copy of a recent utility bill or mortgage statement and proof of your primary payment method, and you can upload these when prompted by clicking through the ‘Document Requests’ tab listed under your account preferences.
You can also send them by email to email@example.com, but just be sure to include some text and a subject line detailing the purpose of the message.
You also have the option of sending these documents proactively at any time, as this can help you to avoid potential delays and formal verification requests further down the line.
You can made deposits via a number of banking methods, including:
- Debit Cards
- Prepaid Vouchers
The minimum deposit is £10, while the minimum withdrawal amount is £20
I was able to access five deposit methods at Metal Casino, namely Visa debit, Trustly, Skrill, Neteller and the Paysafecard.
However, PayPal isn’t a viable option on the site, while the popular ecoPayz platform is not currently available to customers in the UK.
Of course, you may be inclined to use convenient e-wallets such as Skrill and Neteller, but I’d recommend avoiding this when making your first deposit. This is because payments made through these methods won’t qualify for the welcome bonus, causing you to miss out on your free spins.
I completed my first deposit of £10 using a Visa debit card, with this payment processed immediately. When it came to making my first withdrawal, anti-money laundering laws required me to access a payment method that I’d previously used to credit my account, although it’s good to see that you can also use Trustly and online bank transfers to transfer funds up to the value of £50,000.
I processed my first £10 withdrawal (which is the minimum amount that you can draw from your account at any time) using my Visa debit card, and it took a little over 24 hours to process this internally.
The funds landed in my bank account the following day, meaning that it took nearly 48 hours to complete the withdrawal overall. This is relatively competitive in the current marketplace, while it’s also important to note that Metal Casino has recently removed a £2.50 admin fee when processing payments using this method.

I've been playing at and reviewing casinos for years, while I have extensive knowledge of the iGaming market in the UK. I particularly enjoy slots, table games and live casino gameplay, and have played at most of the UK's licensed casinos.
